??? Audigy 1 & 2 New Driver release - when?

Take a look at a snippet of text from the overview of the last EAS Performace Beta drivers:

The beta release is designed to stop functioning on the 1st of August 2003 by which time the final release previously mentioned will be available.

SO, the 1st of August has come... and has left us. SO where's the new drivers, Creative? I'm dying to fix my Battlefield 1942 and Winamp sound problems.

They released an update on June 25, 2003. I noticed that AFTER that beta driver was listed, so that may be the one. Seems to work fine for me, but I don't do much more than play some games, net surf and listen to MP3's on this system. (I don't have BF1942 though, sorry)

Best people to ask about it would be Creative themselves.

You didn't mention your system specs, I'm using an Audigy MP3 and WinXP home with those latest drivers. Don't know if it's different for other OS's.

I ever thought the Beta was a previous version of the .383 Drivers.

You asked for my specs, here they are:

-P4 2.53 GHz on a i850E mobo
-512MB or RD-RAM
-Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer w/ latest drivers
-Radeon 9700 PRO
-WinXP Home w/SP1, DirectX 9.0b

Does any of this information help answer my question about BF problems?
