New HERCULES-GUILLEMOT Gamesurround Fortissimo II drivers version 2.03

Them great folks over at Driver World have found a copy of the newest Fortissimo II drivers. It looks like a 1.2MB package that has drivers for 9x/me/2K/XP.

Looks like Bubbles is gonna get her soundcard drivers upgraded tonight.

Ok, my download is done and I can post this now.

Anybody else getting the message that file is corrupted?
It's only 1.2MB but on the readme it states it should be 17 MB and whenever I try to unpack it either automatically or with winzip I get the error message.

Hopefully they'll fix it today, I'm looking forward for these fixes

- Internal DLS Synth removed to improve gaming performance (Win 2000 / XP only)
- fixed squealing issue which happened in 4 speakers in some games.
- fixed various memory leaks.
- fixed the disappearing icon issue.
- software 3D takes over when hardware 3D fails.
- Improved installation process

Yeah, it looks like they weren't finished uploading it to their server before word leaked that it was out and it's an incomplete upload. (Just ask Omegadrive about that one...I hate to admit how many times I think it was me....

)

I'm dying for the squealing issue fix, it just started happening to me 2 days ago in GTA3.

You can go to here and choose 'tween an http or ftp download, for anyone having trouble.

I just noticed they fixed the icon bug too, yipee!

I have to hand it to hercules, their support for this card is spotless, regularly released drivers with fixes that actually work.
Sound quality is good, game performances are on par or better than creative and better again it costs less than 40$ !
I'm recommending it to all my friends.
Of course a musician would want more but for the regular windows/gamer user on budget this is the card to buy.
Just my 2 cents
