Teamspeak static ONLY from one guy... WTF

Hey there,

I use Teamspeak quite a bit and have a bit of a dilemma...

There is one guy in particular whom uses our server that whenever he speaks, I can hear mostly static, and a very small bit of voice. Sometimes if he really speaks up and speaks clearly I can make out what he's saying, but 90% of the time he is inaudible, but ONLY to me. This is what's so strange, every single other person that uses our TS server, I can hear 100% perfectly, the problem is not my hearing = )

And it gets more weird.

He can hear me 100% perfectly, and EVERY OTHER PERSON on the TS server can hear him PERFECTLY.

To recap, there is one guy who I cannot hear, tho I can hear EVERYONE else. Everyone else can hear both he and I perfectly, the problem is apparently only from him, coming to me, and we cannot figure it out.

I have a SoundBlaster Live! Value card, windows XP with a gig of RAM. He has a soundmax integrated sound card of some sort.

I have followed advice on these and other forums saying to install Audigy 2 drivers, that didn't help, then I was advised to get the KX project drivers, those didn't fix it either. Yes in both cases I totally removed my soundcard, uninstalled the drivers and started from scratch each time.

And here's another piece of weirdness. I've also changed PCI slots, didn't help, THEN I went and got an old Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer of my friends, then went and got an old burned up (house fire of a friend) soundblaster 16, then I went and got some 1996 Philips soundcard. Each and every one of these seems to have the exact same problem and I am totally stumped.

I've also had this guy reinstall his sound drivers with the latest ones but to no avail either, Any advice would be great, thanks!

this isn't a soundcard problem. this is more of a network/nic/modem related problem. i'm not sure what advice to give you, but i hope i've lead you in a good direction.
