greets.
well, in my rig the new drivers don't work very well: it gives me a sound with excess chorus, even if chorus is set to 0%.

btw:
no one of you that got the apps wanna share it? bittorrent or something? maybe u should help the others just like others had helped you

I am currently working on getting full installation, and I will hopefully have it and be able to to test it in a few days.
Until then, I can only think of solutions from my head, can't try them.

@Fire_Angel: I am glad to hear that. Did they work without patching?

@HeartbreakKid: Do you have Audigy2 OEM or Retail (are the connectors on the back colored or golden)?

@madrappers: Some people already answered this, but I will too. These drivers are totally different thing compared to previous, so:
1. if you got the whole cd, you can uninstall older ones and install these
2. if you got only the drivers, you should keep older apps

@erickmOrillo: Which soundcard?

If I have missed someone who wants to try it, please repost your question in this thread. Thanks to everyone posting their expiriences. With more testing we will have more sucessful installation guide and FAQ!

Perhaps the guys who hacked this CD forgot about Audigy2 OEM PCI ID... But it's not all lost
You can try to install drivers by using CTZAPXX.exe and apps one by one. Does any of that work?

I dont know if they were patched, so I just ran ctcomp.exe in audio/setup folder, burned everything on a cd, and installed Drivers, AudioHQ, EaxConsole, SpeakerSetting, Mixer.
Everything works fine.

P.S.: Some one here put they whole CD up somewhere, rar-ed and splitted in 4 parts, and i downloaded them there, but know it looks like the links/the post are gone.

I installed the driver and apss one by one..the equalizer doesn't work....and some features in MediaSource 2 don't work because it can't detect a compatible soundcard

How can I myself hack the cd to work with my card???

I would like to talk with msn messenger...if you want I will pm you my email.

I've looked high low for the links for the install CD for these drivers, and am unable to find any good working links.

As far as the drivers go...by themselves I hear/see little or no improvement with sound quality or performance in games. Honestly the "golden" reason for having these is for the EQ & the added features in AudioHQ. If you read the Creative Audigy newsgroup there has been a number of people having issues with these drivers taking out EAX functions in games. So beware you are risking hosing your install using these drivers.

Thanks for the info Necrosis.

Are the issues card-specific or random, from system to system?

I'm uncertain..how it seems mainly to be with Audigy 1 users. However, doing a roll back to the 383's seems to solve the problem.

Could be the problem that Necrosis mentioned.

I might be able to try it at a friend who has Audigy1, so I can verify that.

I have EAX in my games (SOFII, UT2003, Thief 2, etc. etc.)

Where should I see if EAX is truly enabled or not?

In game options (in UT2k3 for example, it's in Audio/Sound options or something like that - I can't verify because I don't have it installed).

If you play Warcraft III, it's under Options/Sound; If you play Diablo 2, it's under Audio Options. Every game should have it und some Audio/Sound options thing

You can give them a try, but look at Necrosis's post - these drivers have some problems with Audigy1 (but who knows, you might get lucky).

Hey guys please read my post in this forum. These drivers work and the sound is much better than what comes from Audigy 1 and or 2. Mr. Necrosis seems to have a problem. If you just want the newest drivers of ZS to run on Audigy, just unpack it to a seperate folder and patch it with 'ctcomp' that's it .

I don't have a problem Purush, and these drivers work fine for me as well. However, if you had read the Creative Newsgroup you would know there is a quite a few people have issues with these drivers.

There is so much talk about Audigy ZS fixed CD installation, but none seems to have a good link to download. Could someone give us a link please. There is a link in the 3D Sound Surge web site, but the download speed is too slow and cuts of after spending 8 hrs trying to download the file which appears to around 400MB. I am sure there are a lot of us waiting to install this fix over Audigy 1 or 2. Get cracking guys and help us

I have a link

Connect to FTP://156.17.42.175. The login is SB and no password required. The speed is arround 35-36 Kb/s and it takes 4-5 hours to get but has the entire CD. I instaled it on my Audigy 2 and it works fine, except the graphic equalizer and the DTS decodind function. If anybody can help me with thatI would apreciate. Thank You.

Many users reported Graphic EQ not working. Perhaps it's a bug in the drivers or intended limitation.

I am not sure about the other thing.
