SB Live & WinXP Problem...

Unless I install Microsoft's creative labs update, i have to turn the volume all the way up in windows to get it at a decent level... i hate it... if I install the update, i hardly have to have the volume turned up at all... but the update really messes up my games...

When I say 'volume', i'm speaking of Windows built in volume... not the control on the speakers, I leave them at halfway all the time... but I've tried quite a few different drivers, all the same effect...

Hkhalid: Yes go to the creative labs site and download there are 2 different ones ....you have to download 2 updates older and the latest ....
tsdc: I turn my audigy 2 controls up all the way in windows ,then use the contorls on my speakers to regulate the actual sound....thats just how they work...

Why not use hacked Audigy2 drivers instead (guide sticky in this forum)?
