SQUACHY is on a distinguished road

Just got an audigy 2

It could be my imagination but im testing a music file, and it sounds clearer...

BTW the stupid setup detected my card as a plain audigy and now i cant install the audigy2 updated EAX4 drivers......(i get some error at some point in the middle of extraction)
the card is definately a audigy2 (all the decals and crap on the card say 2) and it came in a retail package with all the audigy2 goodies.

Oh and BTW i did somethign really stupid that i thought was the drivers being all borked...

Had all my speaker plugs in the wrong sockets....jeebus i read the damn bracket the wrong way (yes i know u'd be like how the F*ck do u read it backwards? the damn IEEE port is on one side!!)

audigy 2 is an awesome card, and yes you probably will notice good stereo due to the high signal to noise (i think its around 106 or 107db)....

if you have a high end stereo setup you should hook it through that and try some CDS or high end MP3 rips. great sound !

hope you enjoy that card.it rocks.

just wish they used color coded points like most sound cards i used in the past.just a little more idiot proof(not aimed at anybody) that way.

WOOT thx

It was an upgrade over an SBlive Value (the first low cost SBlive they released)

But is it supposed to be detected as an Audigy1?

And how am i supposed to get around installing the EAX4 drivers when the unpacking thing keeps erroring out on me?
BTW CMSS2 is awesome for audio files
Where CMSS pretty much stereo'd all audio files, CMSS2 stereos and balances the bass levels much better, so i actually get bass with CMSS now (before the stereolization of the audio files would result in loss of bass.)

Massive upgrade man from the live card..... !

Have you tried manually updating them in device manager? deinstalling them first ?

Incidentally I dont know if you want to try them or not but the kx guys a forum next to this, deliver some kick ass drivers, be sure to check them out.

try un-installing all the audio drivers connected to creative.install from cd first as the drivers downloaded from creative's site are normally updates and need the original driver installed.

That could be a broken file. Did you try redownloading?

Did you try manually extracting files from that archive?
