how does Audigy Gamer compared with normal Audigy ES etc?

gamer comes with games/mp3 wih mp3 makeing software etc

their just diffrent bundles for diffrent crowds but the card is usally the same

I am not so sure; there was a version called Audigy, but it wasn't Audigy at all; if you are planning to buy it, verify it has real Audigy DSP.

agree make sure it's not a dell model or a made for dell oem.... reatil boxed cards are fine

dell's payed creative to use other dsp's (the main chip) not made by creative and (a genric/cheapo) to make te dell cards alot cheaper to produce. it kills the perfomace and requires specail "dell ver"drivers

actually i purchased a used audigy 1 oem from someone and it pulled it from a dell machine. It actually has the audigy chip on it and im using audigy 2 zs driver right now....

not sure why your dell came with a custom audigy :S

Doesn't matter if it's Dell's or Creative's; even Creative produced some not-real-Audigy cards.

Look to see if it has the EMU10K2 chip on it. Thats an audigy.

From what i kno, Dell only modified the Soundblaster Live card with a modified 10k1 chip they called the 10kx

well, I know my audigy gamerX has a larger core chip than previously mine SB Live which is smaller in squarish size
