with the audigy 2 hack for audigy1, will the 64 voices be HARDWARE?

i mean that will the cpu get rid of the work of processing 64 voices?

my sound card is audigy1 ls

(fuckers i read on the box 64 channels bla, bla, bla and i thought cool my battlefield 1942 will have 64 voices, i buy it and wam i only get 32 *hardware* voices, and 1024 poop software voices)

What drivers are you using?
And yes, Audigy2 hack drivers offer 64 voices.

im using deafult box cd drivers.

i tried to install the hacked drivers, after running ctcomp.exe but i still got no audigy2 error...

are the audigy2 hacked drivers even compatible with audigy1 LS soundcartds?

i followed this instructions: http://kpush.tripod.com/tweaking/id33.html

i tried to follow the one on this site but big file was not availabale and it hought maybe they are different so i looked for another site

ps: are the 64 voices hardware processed?

no, drivers for the normal audigy series are not compatible for the audigy ls

I have read on some locations that Audigy LS is not real Audigy chip, but only somekind of marketing trick. Sorry.

i hate those fucks... anyways im gonna buy a used audigy gamer, if im correct it will have 64 channels by hardware(for BF1942), am i right?

Standard Audigy Gamer/Player will have 32 hardware voices if you install the (now old) drivers from the cd, however downloading the latest driver release from Creative's website will change this to 64

No need to use hacked Audigy 2 drivers to obtain that.

its says there hardware polyphony: 64 ... i guess that would give me 64 hardware ceelerated voices in bf1942 right?

Not sure... mine's a SB0090 if I remember correctly, and the ports on the rear of the card are gold not coloured like the one shown there.
