Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Never had any problems with it. Unlike the SB cards I've used in he past AWE 64, LIve Value and the 5.1, I was never happy with them. SB might have been once a good. But since I went the Santa Cruz I've been one happy camper.

A Sonic Fury is a Santa Cruz under a different name in Europe and I think that's what the other poster meant by Sonic Foundry (cuz that's an audio app company)
My Santa Cruz has done great for me for gaming and pumping dolby digital out to my reciever for DVDs. It's CPU utilization is way smaller than anything by Creative. Hell Creative made different cards all based on the same crappy old audio chip for years and noone even batted an eyelash. And just do a quick scan of these forums or any other hardware forums to discover how many problems arise from Creative soundcards. The Audigy is no revolution in audio, it's just Creative finally buying something new. It's not Pro-Audio quality no matter what their press says and no one should be using it for audio production. You want pro-audio, go to M-Audio or something else that the professionals actually use. It doesn't have to cost a lot more. I'm happy to see a lot of people seem to have the right opinion of Creative especially the post about them killing the best 3-d audio company out there! My $.02. Cheerz, Wounded Paw P4 2.0A GHz, 512 MB PC2700 Asus P4B533, ATI Radeon 8500DV M-Audio Delta TDIF pro-audio, Santa Cruz game audio WD 120GB a/v drive, 30GB system drive Plextor 40/12/24 CDRW and a bunch of other stuff inboard and outboard |

You like trying stuff out huh? .... well, that GTXP'll be just the same as your santacruz.... (except it'll have a breakout box)...did you ever consider the king of all soundcards? Terratec DMX 6Fire ![]() (I realize you're not made up of money, but if you ever wanted to buy it but couldn't because you couldn't find a store in the USA, you can get it here: http://www.audiomidi.com/hardware/audio_pci.cfm (scroll to the bottom) ).Oh yeah, it also has that VIA audio chip that you hadn't ever heard about

I'll say it again, use a gaming card for gaming, use a pro-audio card for serious audio work. Don't mix the two cuz the compromise will be apparent when you release a CD to the public.
