Audio Static

I have an Audigy 2 ZS and Klipsh 4.1 speakers. About 2 weeks ago the speakers started to make cracking and hissing noises when the computer was on or off. Since then the noise has stopped but when I play any music or games, I hear static in all of the speakers. I have reinstalled the drivers and checked the connections but can't seem to get rid of the noise. I did not have the problem in the past. Any ideas.

Thanks for your help,
Don

Hmm I have the 5.1's. It sure sounds like it's more about the speakers than anything else.

Have you tried hooking them up to a portable device to see if they still emit the static?

If so the only thing I could recommend is you clean all your contacts & maybe try a different power outlet.
