DirectSound Output

Ok i just got a new mobo and proc cuz i chipped the core on my old 2500+. So i got a Epox 8rda3+ and another 2500+. Well to my suprise windows booted up fine! I thought i would get all kids of hardware issues and it wouldnt boot. I know i need to do a fewsh install, I will do it once i get all my stuff backed up. The problem is i want audio playback and for the life of me i cant get it. Ive installed the drivers off the cd and got drivers from c-media.com.tw but i still i get this error in winamp.

"Device not found. please select another device in configuration."

The proper hardware is sleceted in audio options in control panel. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe im tired and missing over something.

Try reinstalling DirextX.
