does any1 know how to disable the m$ software synth built into XP.

Does any1 know how to disable or remove the Microsoft GS softsynth thats built in to
windows Xp.

I have removed it before some how but I cant remember how I did it, I think I did it when I was installing my soundcard and didnt install all devices?

I am trying to run a cut down system for a DAW and dont want any crap SW synths running in memory.
I am using an m-audio soundcard and also a audigy 1 with A2 drivers.

I would also like to remove the creative labs software synth too but Ive never worked out how to remove that?.

any ideas any1?
all I do at the moment is to set the outputs as inactive in cubase but I want to remove them from my OS..
it a piece of crap that microsoft sw synth far too much latency (300ms or so) ha ha.
