Station Drivers have snagged the latest Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Drivers v5.12.6.402 for windows 2000/XP from Compaq.

get them here thanks to my mate newsfactory at Warp2search

I could be wrong, but wasn't last Creative driver version 441, which is newer than this?

The one from creative .0441 is newer then the other one from HP.Runs fine though on the Audigy 2.

There latest web release until this one was .283

Notice the bold 5 and 6 in my previous post. However taken from inf file.

maybe they didnt update the .inf?

Apon further investigation file versions are 5.12.01.0402-1.82.0020

So indeed this release is much older.

They are Defintely Older, I don't recommend installing them

According to wingman 69, the version 5.12.6.402 appears to be the latest one, notice the difference 5.12.5 and 5.12.6, I therefore presume 5.12.6. seems to be later version. Could anyone fill me on this ? I have installed the 5.12.6 version over 5.12.5 after patching it. It works, but I have not tried it for a longer period of time. All I can say is it sounds o.k. for now.

O.K. guys this driver is so far unofficial and it is from HP but, it rocks ! Just try this baby out, the sound is superb. You must have Audigy 2 LS installed or the moded drivers over your Audigy 1. It works. Enjoy the simple joy of music in this troubled world.
