my card is Dell Oem card. The model is SB0200. Inside the ctcomp.dat i can't find this model. Isit it supported?

@aidlover what driver are u using atm? extract the ctcomp from that driver and view with notepad. u will find the ID for SB0200 then an u can use this ID in the ZS drivers and install them instead

@RvC-Kenny i am using the windows driver.The driver that can b updated through the windows update.Well i try puting the ID from the link you give me n there is an error. It says it kenot find Audigy2 sound card in the system. Any help?

whats the ID of ur card? get a creative driver and check the ID, dont use the windows driver. i guess its just an audigy so get the latest drivers for audigy 1 to find out the right ID and then u can use the iso and the newer driver for audigy 2 ZS

sure it is but u wont find the right ID in the audigy 2/ 2 ZS driver! u need to find it in the usual audigy 1 driver and then insert this ID in the ID line of the a2 ZS driver.
in my case i found the ID in the a2 (ZS) update, because i got a audigy 2 (OEM by dell, but a2 and not 1 as in ur case!)

from what driver did u extract that? whats ur soundcard? get latest official driver for ur card (a1/a2/zs) and install them. if u get no "no audio device detected" extract the ctcomp.dat and find ur ID. try kX driver to get the exact model number of ur card if u want but u can use just all IDs of the driver to insert in the ZS driver

btw i reinstalled my ZS software+ drivers again and now everything is working! EAX special FX, bass redirect,... all work now! dunno why it hasnt worked before. didnt change anything, just reinstalled after using kX for a while.

the ctcomp.exe doesnt include all IDs, so maybe we could collect some other IDs from different OEM cards and the author may include them in a further release maybe. or maybe we just collect all IDs and write them down in a modified ctcomp.dat, that will work with all cards then.
i dunno how to write a patch, but maybe somebody can do this if not the author of ctcomp.exe or might write a guide

i was wondering, my fren had an Audigy LS. How come after he install the Audigy2 ZS files, he doesnt have the extra function like CMSS2, THX settings n etc?? Any help??

hm isnt the LS the same as the ZS just without 7.1 but same driverfeatures? well no need to mod then if he already got EAX HD and CMSS+stereo upmix and all that stuff....
there is a card based on audigy but with quite different hardware that cant be modded, but it seems to be another card than the LS. dont remember

Correct me if i am wrong.. Audigy LS does not have hardware acceleration.. It means it depends on cpu processor to do the acceleration.

u are not wrong (
thats just softwarerendering of EAX effects and that suxx! get a real audigy 1 or 2 or use the live! with YouP modded audigy driver to get nice and faster EAX2.0 sound.
there was a nice guide on futuremark forum. u can read it from google cache, but its offline

QSnexus! I have an Audigy 1 [D800] and I installed everything as indicated (also the patch) but the equalizer seems to work. Is there some way to test my EQ (what does it exactly mean: "the full EQ may not work")?

The only problem I recognized was in the Speaker Settings (the Bass Boost is greyed out). Is this normal? Can I hear audible difference when I enable Bass redirection (I have Terratec Home Arena 5.1 speaker system)?

I also noticed that with the new drivers the system reversed the front and rear speakers. Did someone experience the same?

Is this normal that on the volume control menu I see Audigy (and not Audigy 2) - someone already asked it but received no answer.

And one last question: I downloaded the Audigy 2 ZS updates. Is this ok or do I have to download those for the Audigy 1?

have u patched the audigy 2 ZS software to get it working on ur a1? if the software runs its ok.
bass boost is for 2.0 or 4.1 systems only. with 5.1 the bass got an own channel and u cant use it.
i had to use that eq patch to get my eq workingotherwise it would crash when i start it.
u should hear a difference with bass redirect. if ur 5.1 is connected correctly then the sub should work. without that u wont get bass from sub but from the other speakers only.
dont care what suround mixer says about ur card. my says audigy 2 (nonZS) and it works at ZS so np

hm have u use kX drivers before? front/rear are switched there usually ( because the rear channel got better hardware decode chip or sth... sigmatel instead of realtek i think, didnt noticed any difference in quality^^)

Is it possible to use this driver with a platinum EX? I installed the driver and it worked, but no remote controll.
I couldn't find anything about the remote controll in the contents of the download of the cd.

Also i wonder if it is possible to use a audigy 2 card with the EX drive from the audigy one?

Thanks RvC-Kenny! Yes, I patched the software and the Audigy 2 ZS updates too. I've never used the kx drivers, so I simply reversed the speakers. Now everything works fine. Thanks again for your help!
