MIDI Keyboard problem

i have a SB Live! soundcard. and i'd wanted to get it work with FruityLoops Studio 4.5

in windows midi settings i can choose between Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth, A: SB Live! MIDI synth, B: SB Live! MIDI synth and SB LIVE! MIDI UART.

in FL output port mapping i can choose between: Microsoft MIDI Mapper, Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth, A: SB Live! MIDI synth, B: SB Live! MIDI synth and SB LIVE! MIDI UART.
the same choises + (none) i have in 'master sync output'.
in remote control input i can only choose SB LIVE! MIDI UART or (none).

while choosing the master sync output, i get the error: This specified device is already in use. Wait until it is free and then try again.
and i get this about any choise that i make, all the time.

what kind of settings should i use in order to get my MIDI keyboard to function with FL ?

i've tried couple of midi-progs, but none of these doesn't show that something is coming from keyboard to PC

PS! if i choose in windows options midi output SB Midi port, then my MIDI Keyboard plays the midi-file, if i play in winamp. so, seems midi-output works fine, but midi in doesnt want to do it

ok the UART is the connection you want for a midi keyboard, but if you are into music an stuff, i suggest using kX (it is really great for that)

i've tried win drivres, creative original drivers, and also kX drivers.. nothing

when using midi in, you have to send it somewhere, in FL set the midi devices, and any synth/sampler that uses midi, you have to set up its channel… and in kX if you are using straigh midi you need to load a soundfont
