Pro-Logic I/II/IIx output from Audigy2??
Is it possible to get the Audigy2 to PROPERLY decode and upmix matrixed stereo to 5/6/7.1 instead of just sending it to the two front speakers? I want to use my computer for line-in decoding of regular pro-logic signals from TV and Hi-Fi VHS, PS2, or whatever else I plug in..
I've seen pictures of an older Audio HQ panel that doesn't exist anymore.. It clearly says "Enable Dolby Pro-Logic." There's a picture of it in a Tom's Hardware Guide Review: http://www6.tomshardware.com/video/2...udigy2-07.html I have been using Windows Media Encoder to encode VHS input through a firewire camera, and then streaming it back to myself in order to watch VHS quality video with properly synched audio through a WM9 Pro-Logic II upmixing plug-in, but it's a ridiculous technique and doesn't work for real-time applications like a PS2.. CMSS just spreads the stereo signal all over the place without even using the surround matrix. Do those drivers still exist, or has anyone hacked something similar into the current ones? Do any methods exist to get this card to decode two-channel matrixed signals and upmix to 5.1 speakers? Jig Last edited by jiggly; May 21, 2004 at 04:09 AM. |
