DJ... followup on the volume question
does the volume rule apply when you are dealing with the bass settings in the audigy volume control? i.e. let's say all your main volumes are maxed but you lower just the bass volume bar. Does this decrease the sound quality of the bass signal? Or does this not apply when you're dealing with bass...
Thanks |

when you increase the bass signal, to prevent clipping and distortion, it is best that you decrease the master slider by the same amount you increased the bass slider, but in your case you don;t lose bass quality, you just lose bass volume, same with any other frequency band, you are just decreasing its dynamic range. But when you do this to the entite frequency range (bass to treble) you do lose quality as you are reducing the dynamic range for the entire stream
