Audio Quality in S/P-DIF & Regular Analog Cabling
I just recently bought Klipsch Promedia GMX D-5.1's without actually reading about it first... kinda bad cos i plan on using this for pc only.. and after i bought it, i read that it was made towards consoles.. but hopefully not all is lost.. i got a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Platinum card
and i read that these set of speakers doesn't have the seperate analog inputs and that if i want to use 5 channel i have to use a rca jack. whats the quality diffrence? will i be able to control them seperatly thru the creative's audio panel? I bought it for 200 and i know some other ppl got it too.. should i sell em off and buy something like the z-680's? And the reason i bought them.. was.. its for doom3 only basically.. but i think doom is a 6 channel game what would be the best bet to get for it?

the RCA lead will NOT provide 6 channel sound unless the signal is encoded with dolby digital. The soundblaster live does not do thise, however the nforce 2 chipset with soundstorm does
