What to you look for in an MP3 player?

Which is more important to you?

Capacity: How many songs you can fit on the player.
Size: The physical size of the player.
format support: Whether the player supports some of the differing digital audio formats.
Popularity: Whether it is something that everyone "must have."
Features: Extra features such as radio or record functions.

Donator
Features, it's pretty much a standard now for mp3 players to be small and hold alot of songs. As long as it supports .mp3 I am fine.

I like features, carry cases, car rechargers, cassette hook up, face plates, and so on. You can personalize it to fit yourself. Plus, if you are at home, or in the car, it will be ready to play.

That's why I like the iPod.

I also prefer format support, and sound quality, which would seem more appropriate than 'popularity'. I also have an iRiver, H110 - slightly smaller than the 140 and 10gigs are plenty for mp3s. firmware updates also kick ass!

RIV@NVX will become famous soon enough
System Specs

Features, then format support (and I consider AAC support very important ) and then popularity... size is somewhat important, capacity isn't at all.

Sound quality comes first (which means the DAC quality), then capacity (I prefer if it supports high capacity slot-in-memory like RS-MMC etc not a fixed hardware memory), features (a built in digital camera maybe....), support, and popularity.

Well... out of those choices I would choose Size... but that would come second to the quality of the audio reproduction.... I went with the Creative Muvo2 because the reproduction is outstanding (soooo much better than an Ipod!) and the size is unbeatable for a 4GB player

yeah... creative are one of my fav computer audio providers... I've used an Audigy 2 for months now and would not go back to on-board sound and I used their Inspire 6700 speaker set for a few months two and only replaced them with logitech Z2200s quite recently.

I say audio quality, battery, capacity, physical size, and then maybe some extra functions like a removable drive...

I'm considering either a Zen Touch or a MuVo2.....
