I'm in heaven!

I just bought a Logitech z-5300 for $200. I can't wait until Best Buy ships it, I'm so excited!

http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review829.html This system will sound so great with my Star Wars Galaxie game and DVDs.

Anyone own this system?

THX, Speaker Power 35.25W each , Frequency Response 35Hz - 20kHz , 280 watts total RMS power (100-watt subwoofer, 35.25 watts per 4 satellites, 39-watt center channel)

Patented dual-chamber subwoofer

Polished aluminum phase-plug satellites

Full-featured SoundTouch wired remote control with LCD screen, headphone jack and volume controls

Rotating pedestals for wall mounting or desk placement

Removable grilles and aluminum phase-plug drivers

Matrix mode and source selector switch for creating great 5.1 surround sound from stereo, 4-channel or 5.1 sound sources

Satellites are shelf or wall mountable

Video game console adapter works with Sony PlayStation and PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox or Nintendo GameCube

YES! I just noticed that! Now I can play it with my X Box! I'm so frigging happy!

I'm interested in these speakers as well. Tell me how they are when you get them

Did you buy it in the US or Canada? Best Buy is selling them for $200 CAD.

I use to have the logitech z-640 5.1 system, but I upgraded to the logitech z5300. This one was waaaaaaaaaaay better! The sounds were much clearer and the bass is also better. All in all the Z5300 is a very good sound system

I got the Z-640 system and sent them back because they sound like crap-- I heard the z-5300 are much better as they should be for more than double the price. I also heard the center channel speaker has a constant buzz that never goes away--

I bought the Creative T-5400's And they sound awesome- MUCH better than the Logitech's speaker set for the same price-

As for the $200 price range, I'm sure most of them sound good no matter what the brand. I'm sure the Logitech's sound great at that price level..

If anyone wants great sound for under 100 dollars- get the Creative T-5400's though.. and skip the Logitech 640's..

Nope, no buzz here. But I've already woke people up with the Matrix sound on this thing.

I was playing SWG last night, I killed a ranchor, it hit the floor and the whole room vibrated.

Ha, the one you have is only 70 watts, the Z-5300 has a total of 560 watts.

Man, I feel like I'm bragging about some car that I fixed up or something.

Yeah the "one" in my living room is more like 800watts with two 7th order enclosure subs and full surround.
The "one" on my car is about 2000 watts.. with a custom enclosure that weighs about 85 lbs. that holds two 10 inch subs each with their own amp running in stereo... No need to describe what it sounds like... I'm sure my living room would crush that measly Logitech system.. This Creative PC 5.1 speaker system sounds very good- nothing like the living room though.

LOL-- I would be evicted man- it shakes the entire building, I have 3 neighbors that would probably be calling the FBI because they think a b-0-m-b went off-- Really it's that low and loud-- But I hardly ever listen to them, I use the little Creative T5400's every day though-

- hooked up to the Fort-III is the line out of my digital cable box, so when I'm on the PC I control the sound of my TV through the Fort III control panel... Sounds great, and not "too loud" if I turn down the sub...

It's surprising how loud they will pump though if I crank them up.. Then bass is acceptable, the mids and highs are excellent- and surprisingly don't distort.. Much better than the Logitech z-640's that I sent back- those things sucked hard...

Shouldn't be, those are awesome speakers, it would be impossible to hook up my receiver and all those separate speakers/ subs/ sub amps to my PC...

Well not impossible- but a pain in the arse enough not to even bother.. They are strictly PS2/DVD/home theater set-up.. (optical cable input) -- Would be overkill and a pain to use with a PC

I'm having problems, the sound cracks if it's loud.

I was told to keep the volume bar on windows to %50. That that's what's causing it.

What's the problem? They're brand new. Are they right?

keep the volume in windows at 100% for full audio quality, and use the speakers volume settings to control it

many speakers will distort if the volume is too loud
