Centre channel suddenly gone bad?
my speakers: dtt3500's
soundcard: creative audigy 2 platinum (although the live drive doesnt seem to work but thats another story) using Audigy 2 ZS drivers. basically sometime within the last week, my centre channel has lost the ability to make anything but the quietest whisper, while my subwoofer takes the rest of its signal. its as if the sound is split between then in a ratio of about 30:70 . it is very annoying, and whenever i do speaker sound tests, all the other speakers are perfectly fine, with that female voice saying "front left, front right", etc, but when it comes to the front centre speaker, i hear it VERY quietly but lots of bass. I have tried resetting all my sound settings to default but to no avail, and i've tried swapping the connectors on the back of the amp but i know that they are connected properly, and nothing is loosely connected, speaker-wise nor amp-wise. The speakers are connected to my sound card via the digital out port jack socket, if thats any help...

check the Speakers themselves.. some pc speakers have a switch for "4 Channel/6Channel" were if you have hooked up a 6 channels but it's still set to 4... it'll take the center sounds and sub woffers sounds and just produce bass.... (it may try to seperate the center and sub... but it's really weird how some of the mwork)
