Logitech Z-680 or Creative GigaWorks S750?
Which one? And opinions from people who've heard both would be very appreciated.

No question the z680 are worth every penny. They got nice highs and bass that are not matched by anyone else. I believe the sub produces around 188 watts, about twice as much as any other Logitech sub.
I heard both PS why would you want to upgrade you already have a nice set?? But You would see a diffrence, but not worth that much extra cash. |

I myself own a s750
I have compared both speakers and I found that the sound quality coming out of the s750 is much better, especially in musics. One thing that I noticed is the big difference in the high freqs (due to the separate tweaters) and the sub, which is much tighter, compare to rather boomy logitech sub. However, If you're only going to use it for playing games and watching movies, Logitech should be quite good as well.

The gigaworks are a much superior setup. The logitech subwoofer is powerful but its sloppy. The satellites dont even compare for the frequencies they can handle.

the new z5500's are the best - probably the best PC speaker set to date. Have you given them consideration?

The thread Zardon linked to is good, take a look at that.
In addition to the comments I made there, I've had a chance to listen to the Z-5500 speakers some more. The new subwoofer seems to be quite a bit better, in terms of quality, I'd rate it about the same as the S750's subwoofer, though not as good as the Klipsch Ultra. The Logitech sub is the loudest of the group on max volume, though if you really need the 5 extra dB or so, you should carefully consider what you're doing with your speakers... The sats still don't have tweeters, and sound pretty much the same as the Z-680 ones did. Unless you need the decoder functions, stick with either the Gigaworks or the Klipsch Ultras. |

lol.....the gigaworks sub is 210 watts
and much cleaner then the logitech subs...plus being downfiring it has a more pleasing tone to itand yes...the dual driver satellites make the gigaworks FAR nicer |
