skabais is on a distinguished road

case front-panel audio/mic + audigy

hi

I have no clue how that can work, therefore a dumb question..

Im geting a new case (actually almost whole new system) with audio out/mic built in in case front panel - which i chose because it would be easier to use with headset

can I get sound from audigy card to case front?
I use analogue quadro setup - therefore both audio out on the soundcard itself are occupied (and I dont want every time I have to use the headset to crawle under table plugging in and out cables)

or maybe I can use in the same time both audigy and onboard sound - audigy for speakers and onboard sound for headset (case audio/mic)?
or the drivers will be conflicting?

kinda messy, but I hope you got idea..

thanks in advance

p.s. if it is of some relevance - I will get ABIT AN7 board with nvidia soundstorm audio

p.p.s. actually I should have asked this before I chose the case - maybe my idea was wrong from the begginning

the audigy itself has no analog connections on the board, so you have to use the onboard chipset for the front of the case (in my system i have an audigy and my soundstorm chipset running)

no games choose the default directsound device… go to the sounds control panel and change the default device from soundblaster to soundstorm and you're set
