This 3523 is old and it is ALPHA. Read the news on kX's site and then post. 3524 beta was released because it FIXES more problems over 3523 alpha than it introduces.

See this:

09/24/2002 - Version 5.10.0.3524 BETA released.
Refer to Changelog for details.
'3523 Alpha Release' users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to 3524.
Spanish translation added.
French translation added
Romanian translation added.

A change has been made to the kX alpha and beta-testing protocol:
kX pre-release versions will now be made available publically for download and testing. It is expected that by expanding the base of kX beta testers, a wider range of potential bugs will be identified, so that they may be eliminated before the "official" release of new versions.
Please note that alpha and beta release versions may not be entirely stable
and are not recommended for general use. We encourage experienced and
dedicated kX users to download and install pre-release versions to provide
us with invaluable pre-release feedback.

A change has been made to the kX alpha and beta-testing protocol, due mainly to time constraints and to the hardware/software configuration limitations of our current beta-testing team.

Of course, as always, donations to the kX fund from any and all kX users are much appreciated!;-)

09/12/2002 - Version 5.10.0.3523 ALPHA released.
Refer to Changelog for details.
Translation guide published, Skins Guide revised.
Polish language support added.
Please, read the changelog before downloading and installing 3523!

Thanks to DK and to DM for having recently made extra-generous donations to the kX project and thanks again to everyone who has donated to encourage development - past, present and future!

And please, there is a thread about kX drivers already, so there is no need to start new thread.

Changelog is available:

Note: some beta testers reported Bluescreens when trying CD SPDIF playback. If you experience this problem - post your card information on our forum (but, please, avoid duplicating existing postings with the same card model .
Reverb/Chorus formulas changed: new formula is:

final = SoundFont Reverb Amount (0..100%) * MIDI CC91 Amount (0..127) * kX Mixer Synth Reverb Amount (0..255) / 100 / 127 + kX Mixer Synth Reverb Amount (0..255) / 10

Note: this amount corresponds to FXBUS volume only, the actual effect amount can be changed additionally by tweaking the effect itself.

I think that you shouldn't post this if you don't really know about it.

Actually 3524 were new, but you haven't had to start new thread because of it. There is a sticky thread.
