okay, i've had this problem for a while now, and i want to see if i can fix this. my specs are to the right. Whenever i watch a movie on my computer using WinDVD, the sound is softer than everything else. [ie. winamp, windows sounds]. Also, when ever there is a sudden loud noise in the movie, like a explosion or something, the sounds gets quieter and then comes back up. what gives? i have tried settings and still, it is the same. anyone know what i should do to fix this or if there is something i have over looking?
thanks guys. |

that sounds like there is a limiter/compressor in use by the software decoding the video… try using another program… or using AC-3 filter to decode the audio stream instead of the audigy 2 drivers
