Which setting rules with Audigy2 ZS?

Hi. Been playing with the settings with my Audigy2 ZS and I was wondering which setting rules them all? If I set speakerlevels and stuff in the thx console will they stay even if I set them different in creative surround mixer and so on? If I use the thx console but then turn on eax effects what happens? If I then play games with EAX should I have eax enabled in surround mixer or should I shut everything down and let the game handle it? I am a little confused but the card is great. I have it hooked up with analog cables to a 7.1 T7700 Creative system.

each different application has different settings, movies, games, music etc will all have different "best" settings, however imho, no extra settings, no eq is what i find best
