SB Audigy 1 and 6.1 speakers

Is it possible for Audigy 1 soundcard (SB0090) to fully support 6.1 speakers (i.e. using modded drivers) ? If not, then if I use those speakers will they work as a 5.1 speaker set (one of the satellite speaker will be disabled or will it be some kind of a downmix)? Thankyou for your replies

no - the soundblaster audigy only supports 5.1 - no modded drivers will help (unless you use kX and redirect the outputs in the DSP)
the speakers should still work - but one will not

. I'm going to buy 6.1 Inspire 6600 cuz in Poland they're cheaper than 5.1 Inspire 5400 (dunno why, lol), so I was just wondering if those 6.1 will be ok with my SB.

I can buy 6.1 for about 280 zlotys (1 zl is slightly less than 3.5 $) while 5.1 costs around 340 zl.

Great, It is so cheap in Poland, cheaper than the 1 u buy in Creatvie Corp. in Singapore

I gonna visit your Country n get 1 package of speakers.
Your 6600 will be some kind of a downmix, one of the satellite speaker will not be disabled. coz i used this speaker before
