You dont "enable" EAX. EAX is just a thing with the card that certain games can take advantage of. It should turn "on and off" by itself. The only time it would not "turn on" is if the drivers didn't support it all together. These drivers, however, work fine with EAX. If they don't work for you, try looking at the options for the game. If there is nothing in there about EAX, then try reinstalling the drivers or even windows (I know its a pain in the ass, but if you mess up creative drivers even ONCE, they'll be messed up till you die unless you reinstall windows.... at least from my experience).

Hey!! You're the one who hosted the drivers!! Thanks!
I found the way to enable it. I compiled a set of instructions.

Setup of Sound Blaster Live Drivers (Compaq Release)

1.Uninstall your previous drivers from the Device Manager.
2.Restart the PC.
3.When windows detect and install your new hardware, go to Device Manager again and uninstall them.
4.Run the CTZAPXX.exe.
5.Restart the PC. If the setup was completed by the book, in the play control screen the drivers will be named SB Live! Audio instead of EMUK101 10X Audio.
6.Install the Audio HQ software.
7.This procedure, if executed correctly will enable the EAX 1.0 and 2.0 feature.

Hope this helps! It's easier than a clean install.

That works too, but I've found in my previous experience, that when uninstalling and reinstalling creative drivers, I get bsods in Winxp... I guess not everyone gets that. It might be something specific to my computer . Well, if I can help it, I'll avoid uninstalling creative drivers.

It's also good when installing and reinstalling drivers or upgrading drivers to try and remove them from the registry as well. If you don't like messing with the registry you can use a program called RegCleaner Halon_X which SB do you have?

I am using those drivers myself in WinXP Pro and it is identifying my SBLive X-gamer 5.1 as a SBLive Value, what is up with that?

Do you still have 5.1 support?
