Hmmm... last ones were .253, but 1.253, and these are 2.252... hmm... strange a bit.

I was thinking right, it is not new. Only this thing is different:
Resolves Virtual Directory issue with SoftPaq SP21636 where it failed if customer did not use default directory location.

Everything else is like SP21636.

Newer are only AUDDRVPACK.exe (.253) and UP-AX-3.zip (.253).

Resolves Virtual Directory issue with SoftPaq SP21636 where it failed if customer did not use default directory location.

This is the reason for new release and only difference between previos ones and these.

To answer to your post. If someone actually read the changelog and compared it to previous one, that one would put a warning. And there would not be such things. NEW OLD drivers. Very nice.

Well, I don't use Creative cards, so don't know much about their drivers. Do these new-old-drivers atleast work better than the kX drivers?

No, for me. Creative drivers are big in size and I don't like them. They suck too much.
Only better thing than kX drvs for me is that they have EAX 1/2/3, but I don't have much games that support it and that's why I use kX driver. Actually I do some work on music, so I like kX Project more, but decision is yours.

I compared it to SP21636 that is same version like these you posted. SP21636 works better than original Audigy CD and Live CD drivers.
