exclamation Sound problem - Shuttle an35n-ultra

Hey guys, I recently built a computer for a guy, and I was a fool and didn't test the audio before I shipped. Now it's half a continent away from me and his sound doesn't work . Is there something I should know about the nforce2 ultra-400 chipset to get the audio working? I figured it would just be plug and play, but apparently not.

it would also help if we saw screenshots of any error messages, and the relevant device manager devices (perhaps an unknown device)

Jumpers?

Which jumpers are you talking about? I never touched anything other than looked over them with the manual to check out where they were all suppose to be. I didn't remember audio jumpers though.

Edit: there are no error messages, there's just no sound coming out of his speakers when he has a song turned up.

Unless you bought NF7-S2? if you haven't disabled audio devices in CMOS?
Or speakers are dud? Test speakers in another computer.

AMDman is on a distinguished road

Is that MCP or MCP-T? If it only uses MCP, better try AC 97 driver from Realtek first
