Need Suggestion to buy SOUND CARD and SPEAKER

Hi, I currently have Creative Audigy LS sound card and Creative Inspire 4.1 4400 speaker. But I m not happy to their performance. I stupidly buy these product without consult with any person. Now I dont want to make any mistake.

I want to buy a good but budgeted sound card and 5.1 speaker.

And if there is no huge difference between Audigy LS and Intel / Asus onboard 6 channel sound card then I dont want to waste my money.
