audigy 2 zs eax detection in games

hi there

i need your help ! after installining the audigy 2 zs drivers on my audigy 1 ( with all creative updates ! ) the sound and everything is working fine, but :

never games didn´t detect my soundcard in eax mode ! that´s pretty stupid because i couldn´t play the newest games in the fine eax ...

my sys is : athlon 2800+, 764mb ddr-ram, audigy 1
( everything with the newest drivers and directX 9.0c )

hope u can help me with the big prop, or show me a threat where it´s fixed !

p.s. : i am using cmss 2 and the pre-effect : rock in windows !

Audigy1 does not support EAX4 which belongs to Audigy2 series.

most games don't support EAX 4 yet
but he says he is using the a2zs drivers on his Audigy (which theoretically should enable EAX 4 - there is absolutely no difference between the DSP chips of both series (except for the audigy LS))

but eax4 can´t be the real problem, because the normal audigy 1 drivers gave me the same problem.
i only wonna get eax back !!!

Your mod hasn't completed. Audigy1(EMU10K1 chip) and EAX4 console aren't very compatible with updated Audigy2zs drivers if you just directly install A2ZS software and drivers on your card. Even the games don't support the latest EAX, your PC opens EAX files as EAX4 verion.

That is why YouP takes long time to mod .444 drivers to YouP-PAX2.68 mod driver. I guess you can't open KARAOKE in effect, right? Please check your DXDIAG information again.

classic_leon - the audigy series (1 & 2) all use the 10k2 chip, it is the live!/APS that use the 10k1

EDIT: i should mention the audigy LS does not have this chip

both 10k1 and 10k2 chips have the fx8010 DSP implemented within, the microcode for the EAX module is compatible with all 10kX cards

but later games just support the eax settings with the audigy2zs drivers ! ( thief3 , catwoman ) so it might not be a prob with the audigy2 drivers on audigy 1 i think !

so i don´t understand why the newer games didn´t detect it !

Sorry,I don't know about Audigy with EMU10K2. But,one of my friend purchased a Audigy1 with EMU10K1. And this site: http://www.itdoor.net/pages/17,2221,1,1011794059.html evaluates the card. It also says this card has EMU10K1. But it types in Chinese. Maybe that is the different between Asian edit and European/American edit. I don't know

Not "karaoke [color=red]and[/color] the effects ", that would be "karaoke [color=red]in[/color] the effects". please go and check again

You try to play a .mp3 while open EAX console, click effects, then can you see karaoke option? You choose any of selection inside, test whether it works

. If it works, I don't know the more detail to solve your problem, sorry.

perhaps they were misinformed or it was a type, but afaik all true audigy cards use the 10k2 chip
