woofer rumble.

Hi, bought creative7700 7.1 speaker system awhile back. Now I have a problem with the subwoofer. I just rumbles all the time. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Even if I unplug everything except power it still rumbles. Sometimes it's fine though. Tried different settings in creative surroundpanels and so on. Turning down sound in one place and up in another and so on. Could it be some kind of electrical interference or something like that?

System Specs

sounds like you have the hum of the power supply frequency

either the subwoofer is cheap and unshielded or something is wrong

Try it on another PC and using another power electrical outlet.

Well I finally unplugged everything and ran around the house trying all the outlets and it rumbles everywhere. No speakers plugged in, only the cord for volumecontrol and power. Makes no sense. Problem is it kind of comes and goes, it always rumbles a little then all of a sudden it rumbles alot. I am taking it back to the store and see if they get rumbling aswell.
