Tips on building a speaker setup
I'm from Canada. First off, are there any good places to buy floor speakers / bookshelf speakers (for cheap, $400 total system limit). I'm also wondering what you would recommend for a cheaper 2.0 speaker setup and integrated amp.

my 2.0 speakers the edirol ma-10d may not be cheap AU$400, but there is the analogue only version, about AU$260 - excellent speakers

Were talking computer speakers or are you refering to real "requires an amplifier" book shelf speakers?

Sound Accoustics, 250 watt, Ported 8 inch mid and 3 inch tweeter, sheilded and gold plated twist connectors.... I was able to pick up 3 boxes (each with 2 speakers) for just over 300 bucks ... 98 bucks for each box.... A&B sound ... they have excellent deals on anything audio... (might be able to pick up a damn good amp .. highly recommend yamaha, they have some pretty impressive 5.1 300+ watt amps for dirt cheap now)
