the latest drivers for win9x are on Creative's site. The CD was just for XP people. I'm not sure if they're offered in German. You may want to check the German Soundblaster site (if there even is one ).

Well, if you don't like Creative's ones - kX Project ones may be your choice, because 98SE support WDM drivers...

"Sound Blaster Audigy VXD stand alone driver update 23/01/2002"

Maybe a direct link to the newses drivers would help me, thx !

What I heard, those updates from January don't work good... just to mention.

About kX Project:

"The kX Project is an independent development project, focused on providing free WDM Audio Drivers for kX-Compatible sound cards. Read our Mission statement for a quick introduction.

The kX Audio Driver is an independent WDM (Windows Driver Model) driver for all EMU10K1 and EMU10K2-based soundcards manufactured by Creative Technology Ltd. and/or E-mu Systems Inc., including the SoundBlaster Live! series, the E-mu Audio Production Studio (APS) card, and the Audigy series of cards."

So, this driver is not "tweaked", it is programmed from the beginning.
You can give it a try, it is just 1.7MB download.

kX Project Home Page.

KX drivers don't support EAX though, so 3d games won't sound nearly as good.

Hint: Buy Windows XP!

Most likely because they are non-official drivers. My suggestion, I currently run the January 25th drivers on my system with Win 98Se, but come tuesday my copy of XP is going to come in, so I'll be using the new October drivers, just stick with the January drivers, they work fine on my system.
