SPDIF bracket on MSI K7N2GM2-LSR
I have a MSI K7N2GM2-LSR mobo in my HTPC. There is a JSP1 connector on the mobo which connects to SPDIF Out bracket, but unfortunatelly, the bracket was not included in the bundle.
Now, I have 2 choices to use SPDIF Out: 1) Get the SPDIF Out bracket. Does anyone know where I can buy it? The bracket I need is NOT the famous "S-Bracket". It is simply called "SPDIF bracket". 2) Make the bracket myself. As far as soldering and electronics go, I have some experience, but I have never worked with SPDIF. There are 3 SPDIF pins on the motherboard connector: VCC, SPDIFO, GRND. I assume that SPDIFO is the data-out connector and connects to inner part of the jack. GRND is ground and connects to outer part of the jack. VCC is 5V power connector, but I am not sure what to do with it, because I can connect only 2 wires to a single SPDIF plug. Above are only my assumptions, I may be wrong. If there is anyone experienced in SPDIF area, please share... Thanks in advance, Piiooo |

the VCC is there if there is an optical module that needs power
if you want to use an RCA socket, then connect the SPDIFO pin to the center of the RCA connector and GROUND to the ring
