Audigy LS mod to a Audigy 2?

Hi there,
I have an Audigy LS Model SB 0310

I hear that this card does not use an emu10k1 or emu10k2 chip. True? P17 chip or something...

Does this mean I won't be able to softmod this card to an audigy 2?

I've tried manually editting ctcomp.dat and using the .exe. The software installs, but the actual sound drivers do not. I'd appreciate if anyone had any info about this.

I got this LS for free, but it would still be nice to mod it up to a audigy 2.
