Does the new auddrvpack.exe work on winxp sp1?

I will eventually upgrade to an Audigy from a Live! 5.1 because eax 3.0 is becoming more of the standard in games and plus with new drivers, openAl is hardware accelerated, which might help with some people who complain about UT2003 running faster with software 3d than hardware 3d (weird!?). I visited Creative's driver page and i noticed the auddrvpack.exe won't support users with winxp sp1 because it came out just before the sp1. Does anybody who has winxp sp1, audigy and the new drivers confirm that it works before i buy?
