Missing Sounds in Games - Aud 2 ZS
I've got an Audigy 2 ZS, I bought it for the sole purpose of using it in games so I could actually use EAX since Sensaura was crap for games.
Problem is, it's not doing any better at it, and in some cases, could be argued that it's doing worse. When I play games on it, I tend to lose some game sounds. The best example is with the Desert Combat modification for Battlefield 1942. When you fly a plane/chopper, when you fire the guns on the planes/choppers, you're supposed to hear the sound of the plane's engine and the sound of the gun firing. I get none of these. I have no problem hearing it if i'm not actually in the plane or chopper and occasionally i'll hear it once or twice. Happens in other games as well, sometimes i'll lose footstep sounds, sometimes I can't hear doors opening/closing. It kind of ruins the point of having a gaming sound card. |

In the Creative Mixer it's set to 5.1. Same goes for the Control Panel.
I've tried switching to have it set to Headphones (in both) when I play games but makes no difference. |

It's at full. I've never messed with it to see if it being less than full makes any difference since I don't see any problems with it at full.
