Hey can someone help me?? My system will not recognize the audigy that I have as an audigy so creative drivers wont install.
KX audio driver system makes the card work fine. But it bugs the hell out me that it wont signal as an audigy card. Can anyone fix this? No creative customer support really sucks so please don't tell me to ask them.

driver disk will install everything but it does not install the drivers correctly when I try audio hq it says Re-istall driver, cannot intialize audio driver. Everything that i've dowloaded from compaq and creativelabs says that it can't find an audigy prodoct on my system...

i've had this problem before..... and .... once these drivers are broken.... they're broken for good.... i tried everything to fix it, but i kept getting BSODs etc. Only a reformat solved it for me. I did read somewhere, however, that it has something to do with windows installing its own drivers or something before the driver install. You may want to go to device manager before installing the drivers and delete any "pci sound devices" or something like that. once you've done that, try the installer again. it might just work
![]() EDIT: when was the last time you checked to see if it was plugged in properly ?

I recently reformatted and the problem started. So since I'm so picky I tried reformatting again then I tried with minimal components then in each different slot cleaned all connectors built an xp disk with audigy driver integrated ummm about 2 dozen re-formates and still no go... Beleive me I tried everything that I could think of.

when you reformatted, did you try the latest drivers before the CD drivers? because the CD drivers are really crappy and you should avoid them.

Yes I tried that and got the "you don't have an audigy card warning and then install refusal."

I would also suggest removing it from windows device manager, any instances of "pci multimedia device" and the like, my modem won't install unless the driver cd is loaded before windows finishes starting!
