Their good drivers, not much of a change from last set though.

I haven't noticed any in sound difference. Only thing I see different is the way it installs.

They must have added something serious - the last driver set was around 27mb install......

Finally! I've been waiting summer of last year for new sound card drivers.
I've been using the 4161's for XP since then. Maybe these'll cure my
studdering in misc. games like the Commanche 4 demo.

Probably won't either, 'cause I heard that Turtle Beach left the sound card biz.

Nice to see another fellow Ohioian here. I hope they don't leave the market as they've always made great cards.

Thanks.. Sometimes I can't always get the PC tech/software that I want 'cause of it though..

I noticed in your system specs that you use an Asus A7N8X mobo.
What do you think of the audio of the mobo's soundchip? I have the same, but the non-deluxe model. I couldn't get the deluxe in my area.

All was good with the mobo sound until I started running games like Indiana Jones & the Emperor's Tomb, and Kaan Demos.. hissy & scratchy..

Makes me wonder if I should go back to my ol' Santa Cruz..

I'm amazed you couldn't find this board...I ordered it from a place near Cleveland. The audio is very good, easily the best onboard sound you can get. I would recommend you go back to the Santa Cruz since you on the regular board. The Santa Cruz is superior.
