leon, how is that frequency response possible with the audigy's DSP and ADC/DAC chips?
or is it just some serious EQ'ing?

Well, I don't understand any of that because of the foreign language, but, DJ, I can say that this NewYearv1.1 release makes the Audigy sound as good as the kX driver, yet with EAX support, still there's no ASIO support in this driver release.

BTW, DJ_Stick, I took your advice a while ago, and I have made two partitions on one of my drives, with kX .3538h on one partions with Win XP (purely music production), and this NewYearv1.1 on the other.

I was trying to learn Logic 5, too, but I did'nt continue cause it's a labor of work, man! LOL I'll get back to it at a later date. LOL

Cya around guy.

Hey, my first post

Classic_Leon, I'm trying to turn my SB Live! 4.1 into an audigy2, should I wait for the new software you are about to release or is there any other option available right now?
How long would it take yo to release it?

Thanks

Chris: That picture is a test result and is not EQ.Robert, the sound card ID on your picture let me know that American Audigy2 has a little difference from Chinese Audigy2. Lots of things includ your CD Digital in disappear. But this problem will be also solved in new drivers.
I don't think SBLive is able to be turned to Audigy2, there are too much difference between two sound cards. But you can use some Audigy 2ZS's application software.

I haven't tested this software but I will give a try. You could try it first, and then post result here.

New drivers will support SBLive 4.1. I think it will improve sound quality. But how good is sound quality must be tested by yourself after new drivers are released
And AC3 is only software-decoding with SB Live sound card, bucause of EMU10K1 only can do this, it's a kind of hardware limit.

Please all people who want new drivers post your sound card Model(and what kind of sound card, like SBlive 5.1 model: 0220, Audigy2 model: 0240, Audigy2 ZS model: 0350, etc) and your ID. Because most of your sound card are different from Asian ones. Thank you

Card: Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS OEM (buyed in Poland, Europe)
Model: SB0350

Thats all I know about my sound card

NewYear drivers are great ! But when my problem will be solved ? (about cutting basse from speakers when bass redirection is enabled - I need Bass Redirection working only for sub not for speakers)

Well, I would like the NewYearv1.1 Driver to include the ASIO driver from the Audigy 4 software. I have the the kX driver on one OS partition and the NewYearv1.1 on an OS on another partition. Creative talks about the Audigy 4 ASIO drivers as if it's improved over Creative's older ASIO drivers. It would be nice to be able to try my music production Sequencer out with the Audigy 4 ASIO drivers, and not have to reboot into the OS with the kX drivers installed. So, if the ASIO driver was included in the NewYearv1.1 release, I'd have EAX gaming potential as well as the ability to work on quick Audio projects without having to reboot into the other OS setup.

I dont have the card in my comp atm as I am not using it, however if these drivers work I'll give it a try, Any eta on the SBLive build? I've got a SBLive X-Gamer 5.1, I dont know if these current ones will work on it. If anyone knows let me know

It also has the Digital I/O bracket, although I dont need it these days so I dont think that should change anything.

Purchased in Canada its model is : SB0060

and the chip says: EMU10K1-SEF
theres also a big long number: 3S94927.1 222LS005
