Install Audigy4 drivers on your SB Live!/Audigy/Audigy 2/Audigy2 ZS

I use windows mixer and doesn't work. My mic only works with official Auidigy 2 oem drivers. The modded drivers disables microphone

and I have to enable the internal sound card only for mic and work with both.

First, if you are using onboard sound, disable it in BIOS and uninstall the onboard sound driver. If you followed the instructions I wrote in my previous post and your mic still doesnt work, all I can say is make sure you completely uninstalled all the soundcard software and drivers, and use Driver Cleaner in safe mode. Also use Cab Cleaner: http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?t=56277

Then, reinstall the Creative_PAX-NewYearv1.2 release.

If your mic doesnt work after this, I dont know what's wrong.

I have an Audigy, and I'm using v1.2. Recheck that you properly uninstalled the previous driver.

pepeluis, I think the problem is that a part of Audigy2 OEM's circuit and ID files are removed by Creative. Hence, OEM's DAT file cannot 100% match for Audigy2 ZS's if your card has been modded to be Audigy2 ZS.

Is it possible to get 7.1 sound out of an Audigy 2 oem with these drivers. I selected 7.1 but I can't get side right to output so I assume this is a hardware issue?

You can't directly get it to 7.1,'cos Audigy2 ZS has one more DAC than Audigy2 OEM. But you can get 7.1 through adding one more DAC, if you have a build-in sound card on your mobo with SDPIF_IN. Check Audigy2_EXT and connect PIN 19 of your Audigy2 OEM and SPDIF_IN of your build-in sound card by a electronic wire. Install both YouP PAX drivers(compulsory) and build-in sound card drivers. Then you get 7.1! And Audigy2 users also can do this to get 7.1.
I posted about modding SBLive4.1 to be SBLive5.1 before. You could check these posted to get some more information.

But, Audigy2 ZS(7.1) users cannot get 8.1 through this kind of modding procedure.

It was my stupidiy! Past week I change the location of my pc and I have connected the mic to the digital ouput!!! Sorry! u_u

Can I install Audigy 2 ZS apps with the Audigy 2 to ZS method? (using ctcomp y pcmod.dll?) with this awesome PAX 1.2 drivers?

Classic one more quest. :

How can you tell me about the 64 3D hw voices of the sb live! value enabled with winxp drivers vs the non-64 3D hw voices (I don't know how much they are) with the official creative or the youp modded ones? Can youp fix the next drivers to perform the same as the winxp drivers in matter of 3D hw voices?

I say it, because in 3Dmark with winxp drivers I could pass the 3 sound tests but with other drivers I could not.

(And It seems the SB 24bit has 64hw voices too)

I will ask classic_leon cuz i think he knows what he does. Creative only told me "Just watch in the KnowlegdeBase so on so on..."
My question to classic_leon is:

Are these modded drivers also compatible with HyperThreading or are there any known hints to get this working for me. If u know the squeal and die problem, u see I´ll got owned by Creative. :/ (Audigy 2 Platinum)

My frist system was build on an older Northwood with 2,66 Ghz no HT an my soundcard was detected as [A400] in the AudioHQ.
Now with my newer mashine. P4 3,2 Ghz HT the card gets detected as [DE80] on the AudioHQ. Since i assambled my new PC I get the squeal and die problem.
I also looked for kX Project but they dont support EAX; and I only play with my mashine.

Well I just reinstalled XP... I installed these drivers and they don't work... I get the question mark thing in device manager. Could it be because I removed all drivers from the WinXP cd?

i also noticed that winxp drivers allows 64 voices, but in my case i can't run 3rd sound test in 3dmark03 because it saids that there is not enough free voice channels (or sth like that).

PS Yesterday i sold my live and i'm going to buy a2zs today

after uninstalling the pax1.2, i'm getting an unknown device in the device manager. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the original driver from my audigy2 cd but to no avail. anyone can help me out? what's the unknown device?? it pops up everytime i restart my computer. it's fix after installing pax1.2.

the reason i uninstall pax1.2 is that i get hard lockup while loading windows in the welcome screen after restarting my pc. pls help!!!!

auky DriverHeaven Newbie Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 9 Rep Power: 0	after uninstalling the pax1.2, i'm getting an unknown device in the device manager. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the original driver from my audigy2 cd but to no avail. anyone can help me out? what's the unknown device?? it pops up everytime i restart my computer. it's fix after installing pax1.2. the reason i uninstall pax1.2 is that i get hard lockup while loading windows in the welcome screen after restarting my pc. pls help!!!!
