Install Audigy4 drivers on your SB Live!/Audigy/Audigy 2/Audigy2 ZS

Hey,

New to this thread and trying to get these drivers installed on my SB Live card. I saw in the instructions a mention of a "PAX uninstaller". Where do I find this uninstaller?

Go here and get Driver Cleaner: http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?t=56277 and install it.

Turn Off System restore found by right clicking My Computer/Properties and selecting the Systen Restore tab. Make sure you look in Add/Remove programs of the Control Panel and on your Start/All Programs lists for any Creative and Pax software and uninstall all Creative and PAX software and drivers! Then, uninstall your soundcard from Device Manager.

Reboot into safe mode, cancel the Found New Hardware wizard, and run Cab Cleaner found on the Tools menu of Driver Cleaner. Run Cab Cleaner for (SP1) or (SP2) whichever you have, then, Run Driver Cleaner for Creative Drivers. Reboot and install the drivers and software you want, then reboot again, and turn System Restore back on.

This should work. If it doesnt, come back and let us know your experience?

(I got called away from my computer, so I didnt finish this post good. I came back to edit it so it probably didnt make since if you saw it before I edited it.)

jof, package will come first. maybe new drivers will be integrated in the package.
slyyy, when you click to install the drivers file, there is a option "uninstall YouP PAX drivers".
skyphab, software for Audigy/Audigy2/Audigy2 ZS series will be done within 1 or 2 hour(s), but I'm not sure if we can upload for you to download soon.
Robert, tell me what's going on happened on your bit acc? I will ask YouP to find solution for you.

Yes, it does. It contains ASIO2.0, because of they are modded drivers.

Ha Ha, I am coming. Install software first without drivers, and then install YouP-NewYear drivers.

And there is something changed. NewYear Package will integrate the latest Creative official drivers(includes: softmod Audigy2 to Audigy2 ZS), and YouP NewYear 1.2 drivers to you who will be able to have more choices.

Tomorrow morening it will be uploading and I i will post links for you to download when links are available.

i hate the fact that i have to type because of a driver issue

audigy2 zs american version
i uninstalled all creative stuff and deleted install directories then used dh drivercleaner pro then removed any leftover entries in the reg manually.then rebooted and cancelled out of windows found hardware wizard then installed pax ny ed 1.2 for games.all seemed to be good except for the origanal language issue with the audio control panel.so i redownloaded the fixed version the next day and even that issue was fixed.so in my oppinion everything was working as it should.so i was just waiting on the release of the ny app pack for audigy cards.then in the meantime i started useing headphones because of my wife,well they sounded like s__t.so i uninstalled the pax drivers and something wierd happened,before the uninstall was complete a dialog appeared and said a dll file was missing uninstall could not finish.when i tried to exit the dialog my whole system froze.i had to do a hard boot,then the dialog kept appearing asking me where to search for file,?.i finally removed my soundcard and deleted everything on my system that is creative or pax related,dc,cab, reg,program folders, sys32,temp,local settings,common files,search hidden folders.so i reinstalled soundcard and windows recognized the card and promted for driver install so i know i got rid of all other drivers.then i reinstalled stock drivers and updated per all cl updated and all seemed to be good.then when i reboot i get an unknown divice dialog and asks for some drivers,for what i dont know.there is a divice listed as unknown in the divice manager that never used to be there.im wondering if it could be the soundfont bank manager of the pax drivers because i think that durring the uninstall of the 1.2 drivers that the file it was asking for was a sfb dll file.my system seems to be running fine but this has really got me puzzled.on top of that after the uninstall of the pax 1.2 drivers the audio conrol panal icon is still listed in the cp of xp.when i click on it nothing happens.when i do a search for .cpl file i get no results for anything close to this icon.and i double and tripple check each entry.PLEASE HELP BEFORE I GO NUTZ.thx in advance

LOL, thank you for the bug report.
You have to unintall YouP drivers with YouP PAX NewYear 1.2 uninstaller which is integrated in the drivers initially.
Now you try to run YouP PAX NewYear 1.2 and click uninstall the drivers, and then run driver cleanner to remove all the rest of files and reg entries.

hello classic,i did that so many times its not funny anymore.im one of those people who actually read the previous post on how to install and uninstall.my first uninstall of the pax ny 1.2 was with the built in uninstaller of your drivers.everything was done right.but still i have the unknown divice after i installed the cl drivers.i have checked all apps of cl drivers and everything works.also that cp icon wont go away from the xp cp.it is not listed as a .cpl file,where could it be?whyen window booted before i opted to not notify me of the divice it was looking for a media divice.everything in my system is working.what could that divice be?im bugged on this.dont think i will try anymore on my system until next release if any.thx

GSXR, It must be still clashing with your initial drivers. did you change your PCI slot for your Audigy2 zs card? What happened after you remove this unknow device? still come up on windows start up? OK, I will ask for the resolvent for you.

yes,after i removed card the unknown divice is still there.i opted in the dialog to not notify me anymore but before i did this even if i uninstalled the divice in manager everytime i booted xp was looking for drivers.it only did this after the uninstall of pax 1.2 drivers.also how do remove the cp icon for the aidio cp in xp cr.i searched the .cpl files with do results for this icon.thx

>GSXR<mrbusa im a FREAK Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Portland, OR Posts: 2,107 Rep Power: 55 System Specs	i hate the fact that i have to type because of a driver issue audigy2 zs american version i uninstalled all creative stuff and deleted install directories then used dh drivercleaner pro then removed any leftover entries in the reg manually.then rebooted and cancelled out of windows found hardware wizard then installed pax ny ed 1.2 for games.all seemed to be good except for the origanal language issue with the audio control panel.so i redownloaded the fixed version the next day and even that issue was fixed.so in my oppinion everything was working as it should.so i was just waiting on the release of the ny app pack for audigy cards.then in the meantime i started useing headphones because of my wife,well they sounded like s__t.so i uninstalled the pax drivers and something wierd happened,before the uninstall was complete a dialog appeared and said a dll file was missing uninstall could not finish.when i tried to exit the dialog my whole system froze.i had to do a hard boot,then the dialog kept appearing asking me where to search for file,?.i finally removed my soundcard and deleted everything on my system that is creative or pax related,dc,cab, reg,program folders, sys32,temp,local settings,common files,search hidden folders.so i reinstalled soundcard and windows recognized the card and promted for driver install so i know i got rid of all other drivers.then i reinstalled stock drivers and updated per all cl updated and all seemed to be good.then when i reboot i get an unknown divice dialog and asks for some drivers,for what i dont know.there is a divice listed as unknown in the divice manager that never used to be there.im wondering if it could be the soundfont bank manager of the pax drivers because i think that durring the uninstall of the 1.2 drivers that the file it was asking for was a sfb dll file.my system seems to be running fine but this has really got me puzzled.on top of that after the uninstall of the pax 1.2 drivers the audio conrol panal icon is still listed in the cp of xp.when i click on it nothing happens.when i do a search for .cpl file i get no results for anything close to this icon.and i double and tripple check each entry.PLEASE HELP BEFORE I GO NUTZ.thx in advance

You have to unintall YouP drivers with YouP PAX NewYear 1.2 uninstaller which is integrated in the drivers initially. Now you try to run YouP PAX NewYear 1.2 and click uninstall the drivers, and then run driver cleanner to remove all the rest of files and reg entries. __________________ Fashion keeps us alive. What happened after you remove this unknow device? still come up on windows start up?
