whats the difference between Audigy2 ZS and Audigy 2 Value?

just as the title says:

whats the difference? Besides of course the lack of firewire.

is there a big difference in sound quality?

quality *may* be less, not sure

and the cards use differing DSP processor chips… not sure what the real difference is, use the creative website's comparison chart

Value does not have ANY on board connectors (SPDIF inputs/outputs, midi, joystick...), except for aux & tad & cd, wich is BAD if you plan to connect anything to your card...

Sound quality difference, especially in games, should be next to none; Quality is practicaly same...
Recording quality seems to be much worse, but this hasn't been tested by competent people, yet! (kX users & testers

Audigy 2 Value SB0400 HAS onboard AUX and TAD connectors. It has not CD connector, Firewire connector, MIDI/Joystick connector. Sound quality is same as other Audigy 2 cards but price is very less then others. If you do not want firewire, CD, MID/Joystick connectors, it is right choice to buy it because low price.

Audigy 2 Value uses chip CREATIVE CA0108-IAT, Audigy2 ZS uses Creative AUDIGY 2 CA0102-ICT

Though Audigy2 value does not have SPDIF & etc ext., it has a ext. I/O...
