??? Creative SB Live! SB0100 no center channel problem

hey guys!

just acquired and SB0100 card and downloaded the latest driver from the creative website and im having troubles on the center channel when im using 5.1 speakers...

i have tried using the kx drivers but still dont have any center channel sound...

anybody who could help me? thanks in advance....

System Specs

are you playing 5.1 content?
have you set up both the windows sound control panel and the driver software to 5.1?

yup... i have already enabled 5.1 on the control panel but still couldnt get any sound from the center channel...

i have tried playing a dvd movie using PowerDVD 5.0 with 6 channels enabled and im not getting any center channel output.... dialogues are missing since the center channel doesnt seem to work...

any suggestion? where should i connect the center/sub channel? many thanks! =)

just found this diagram and im kinda puzzled... should i connect my center channel with the digital out of my sb live 5.1? how should i do that? is there any adaptor for this since im using an analog speaker (logitech z-640)?

on a soundblaster live 5.1, the digital out port is also the analogue sub/center port. use it

ok.. will try that at home. do i need any special jack for the digital out? will the stereo jack(center/sub channel) of my speaker be compatible with the digital out? =)

yes. by standard it does not function as a digital out port

note that in that image you posted a link to it is stated as an "analog/digital" output

in normal usage it is a normal analogue port
