SB0090 Driver problems
I recently installed a soundcard that was given to me by my stepdad. He had none of the drivers or original software. He just had the card and no clue as to what it was. I found out it was a soundblaster audigy 1 card, i don't know what kind, but the model # is sb0090. Either way i don't know what drivers to use. I installed the one on creatives site (AUD_EAX4DRV_031031.exe) but still when i plug my altec lansing 5.1 system in i only get the two front to speakers to have sound. I have a msi k7n2 delta mother board with a nvidia onboard sound. It doesn't fully support a 5.1 sys, but the sb card should. I would love it if some on could tell me what the card was and help me switch off of the onboard sound. I am also using the nvidia mixer that controls the sound. The card has 5 quarter inch plugs and a IEEE 1394 port. Please help!!!

this is the original Audigy card
if you've installed the drivers, you need to first in the windows sounds control panel set the speakers's advanced settings to 5.1, and do the same in the audigy control panel uninstall the nVidia sound drivers, reboot the machine, enter the bios, and disable onboard sound
