Audigy 2 headphone out?
Hmmm, think I asked this already but the forums seem to have regressed a day or two...
I think DJ_Stick mentioned in one of my other posts that on a Audigy 2 it was possible to reassign the digital output to be used for headphones? The goal being to hook up headphone and speakers at the same time and switch between them via the creative control panel? Anyone know how to do this? My speakers don't have a headphone jack so switching back and forth is a pain to say the least... Thanks for the help!

DOH! Here comes the Y cable!
So far I have been thoroughly unimpressed with my "new" Audigy 2 I got on ebay for 50 bucks. While no gaming has occurred yet (no headphones + games = unhappy spouse) I have to say my Fort II offered better "desktop" sound. Plus, Creative's driver updates leave MUCH to be desired. It took me an entire morning to load the 300 updates from creative's site and every stinking one of them wants a reboot.

Have original Klipsch promedia v.2-400's. No headphone jack. But they will sell me one for the low, low price of $49.95 (which is what my sound card cost, lol)
http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=763 Or I just use the splitter that cost me 1.95 at radio shack 8 years ago. (ah, the sound blaster pro days...) Not as elegant, but at least my phones have inline volume so I won't go deaf. DJ-Stick, if you do ever come across the magical method of reassigning an output please let me know. I tried using the white oem connector method I saw in another thread here but the pins are too small for regular wiring. I'm going to keep my eyes open for something tiny that might fit that (I am not going to solder directly to my sound card.... that would look like ass)
