Sad Big Problem with audigy2

Hi all
I have an audigy2 platinum.
Ive installed once the YouP drivers. i havent got problems with them. only thing that bothered me was that the extra audio inputs where in chinese and in eax panel changing setting crashed my pc.
So i uninstalled the drivers from the control panel(big mistake, i had to use youp uninstaller) But yeah ok. thats what i did.
So i wanted to reinstall my original drivers from the cd of my audigy. But there comes the problem.
My pc or windows couldnt find the card anymore.
I changed the card from slot but still same. restarted pc without card and back in, still same. it couldnt find the card. when on creative update site it say my card can be corrupted. so yeah, tried to install drivers, updates and so on but it crashed my pc. so yeah i decided to reinstall You¨drivers, the latest one. They work flawless.
But yeah, only problem is my dvds dont work anymore. dont know if its my graphic card(6800GT) or my sound card. i remember that messing with the audio settings, i could have problems playing dvds in power dvd.
So yeah.
My question is. why cant xp find my audigy2 anymore? how can i fix it?
I prefer for now not to do a format c:
And the problem with playing dvds, is it audio related?

thanks in advance.

do a clean install. reformat and install windows. see whether does it recognize ur audigy card as multimedia controller and proceed with the original cd installation. if not then prolly the card is dying.

i doubt the card would be dying

use Drivercleaner to remove all traces of any driver, and then reinstall
