for a good quality recording, you need to use a decent microphone pre-amp and connect it to the line-in port of the soundcard
the soundcard's mic pre-amp was designed for multimedia/chat mics, and will not do your microphone justice EDIT: you also need what's called a pop-shield. It will stop the popping sound as well as the hissing on "s" sounds. to make one get some old stockings, and a coathanger. Stretch out the coat hanger into a diamond shape and pull the stockings over that. There's your pop shield

thanks you so mucho dj stick, i think you know more than what i thought. i heard about pre-amp, do you know where can i get one, a link or website or something.
my other question is, what is the difference between condernser and dynamic microphone, which one is better. I have an adapter in my microphone's output so it could fit in my sound card, cause i don't have the platinum version, i just have the 2zs, so i guess i'll have buy a xtx something like that of the mic in order to use the pre-amp. |

depending on the purpose of the mic… but the Microphone you have now is a pretty good microhpone. You won't need to replace this for a while.
A pre-amp can be found in any small audio mixer, or seperately in most Music stores.

yo dj stick, did you notice that when people change or try a different driver and leaves kx for 4 or 5 days , the people's missed kx so much that they returned to it. the sound is great, and is so quick and easy to install.
well talking about my microphone people told me that my microphone was a good one, but when i was recording from it i didn't see any difference at all with my old 10$ my mic, i guees it should be the pre-amp, thanks a lot, keep the work this the kx driver, and ''we' '(the people) are so thankfull for your support
